My grammar and grandad passed away years ago. We were very poor so we ate them and Rover had the bones(my wifes idea to call our son Rover though.)

Haha, this thread is hilarious! I needed a good laugh, thanks guys. Speaking of spelling though, grammar is also very important.
“It’s time to eat, grandma.” and
“It’s time to eat grandma.” Have two very different meanings.

I wonder how many calls Todd gets? :diablo:
There is a howler in my local gym’s sauna.
I’ll try and get a pic.

I found this notice in my local Spar shop quite baffling, you would’ve thought they would’ve worded it a little better 😀

Ah yes the logic of Tesco Express. SWMBO wanted a small bottle of red wine for something she was cooking. I saw the sign “Special Offer 2 bottles for £4 ” One bottle was marked at £1.95. I had to do it I bought two and sure enough it came up at £4. I asked the assistant to take one bottle off the bill and it came to £1.95. Good Special Offer for Tesco’s coffers. I asked if they where going to do anything about it. The answer came back “Can’t we only put the cards up!”

In my local Tesco Express recently a sign said…..Sliced Hovis (or whatever sliced stodge it was) @ £1.00 each, or two for £2.00.
Tongue in cheek, I asked the check-out guy if I could have three for £3.00. He stared at me for a moment as if I was stupid, and with a poker straight face, deadly serious, he said no, but I could have four for £4.00. 😀
Honestly!

Very interesting additions guys 🙂
Spelling looks fine on these, just the chosen words / abreviations could be a bit misleading 😀
