At one time there was a rumour that the Aviodrome museum might be interested in one of the Oostende DC-8s. Probably not this specific one as they where mostly interested in the shorter version of the DC-8. Last time I was at Oostende, a bit over 2 years ago, there where three DC-8s. Only one of them had a short body, 9G-BAN. I am not sure if there are any left at Oostende. I believe that at least one of them had been scrapped earlier. So that leaves one as a maybe.

Newforest, maybe they had plans it sell her?

Not sure who would buy a DC8, not an fuel efficient a/c in todays world.

Obviously wasn’t going anywhere two years ago, wonder why it took so long to dismantle it?
