at the end of WW2 the Americans instigated operation paperclip to capture and recover as much of the German aircraft industry materials and engineers/scientists it could this included as we all know the guys responsible for Space flight and the moon landings.
BUT
what about flying disc/saucer technology a lot of research was apparantly carried out on saucer shaped aircraft/craft but not a lot seems to be evident today.
Also Avro Canada did extensive research on a flying saucer that flew but not a wonderful success the US government purchased everything and the rights to it all .It then promptly vanished from existence and nothing has been seen or heard since.
With over the last 20-30 years of all the stealth aircraft etc and also the stuff we dont see that perhaps generates all the UFO reports and of course our favorite USA base that does and does not exist of course Area 51
Are we in plausible deny-ability ?. Is there really someone out there ?
or do we have technology that is an utter failure that we will never hear about or is its not such a failure after all ??

One example on display in Virginia at the Army transportartion museum.

The fact the Russians seemed to get better rocket guys to start with as they seem to be able to put a bigger payload into space with a better more efficient rocket system that is still being used today.Where is the space shuttle ??
whose rocket system are the Americans now using to get into space ??.
I´d question “better and more efficient” – they´ve just had more time to work the bugs out of it, as they stuck with the same design. This turned out to be a very good idea.
Look at it this way – the Russian and US rockets were steadily developed for 15 years before either side felt safe sticking a man on top of them. Think how far other things develop in a similar time frame. Computers for example.

They did have factories completely hidden in mine shafts and in old quarries and underground tunnels !!!

Yes. So you should easily be able to prove the existance of a BMW factory at or near Prag-Kbely airfield.
So show me some evidence that doesn´t come from a UFO website. 😉 😀

Yes there is a lot of C**p about some of the projects but there is also some factual stuff and you must admit a lot of the designs and technology they came up with was pretty near the mark. A lot of the post war stuff done by German scientists on both sides shows this. The fact the Russians seemed to get better rocket guys to start with as they seem to be able to put a bigger payload into space with a better more efficient rocket system that is still being used today.Where is the space shuttle ??

going back to my original reason for posting is it Alien or is it aftermarket (post war developements).

I remember talking this out with some true believer a while back. The tall tale about “BMWs flying disc, built in a factory in Prague”, has been so often repeated online that it´s now accepted as true by these guys.
I asked him why they´d have been building their most secret weapon in a foreign country and where exactly the factory was supposed to have been? It may after all be possible to hide an aircraft, but an entire factory is a different matter. 😀

Hush your mouth Malcolm 😀
Next you’ll be saying that the lack of anywhere near production standard engines and also the mystifying lack of airbrakes (speedbrakes) was actually a problem on the 262 😉
PS…I know…I have heard about the shortages of critical materials but the engine design was still pretty crappy and the ‘allies’ struggled for some years to get reliable axial flow engines – and they did not suffer material shortages LOL

You could go to this site – once you get through all the strange things there might be some info.

If sites like this are to be believed the Nazis were the inventors of everything except the crucial element of how to win a war and to behave like reasonable human beings. But as a side note I still wonder why their napkinwaffe designs, none of which actually worked very well, or at all, still attract such interest. Given the amount of time that even when driven by the Cold War imperatives jet and rocket design took so long to produce reliable products, some people seem to think that the Nazi rough sketches were actually production ready. This willing acceptance of Nazi “brilliance” amazes me. After all these are people who couldn’t even get a Volkswagen into commercial production. As for secret bases in the Antarctic – world dominance is impossible if your balls are frozen off.

I’m surprised it makes no mention of the huge amount of material that US Naval Intelligence got from the Horten Brothers that eventually ended up at Wright Field.

I hate to spoil your conspiracy festorama, :D:D:D
but the AVRO Canada program was pretty theoretical until US money allowed some real hardware to be made.
The saucers were originally proposed a VTOL aircraft (a round Harrier) but the concept wasn’t feasable with the technology of the mid 50s.
Finally, the AVROCAR was funded by the US as a unclassified proof of concept vehicle and as a “flying jeep” (along with a Paisecki concept) but that didn’t work too well either.
In reading about the program it looks like a designer had some pet theories and he was lucky enough to get the Americans “to foot the bill” for experiments.

Avrocar
As this youtube clip shows…the Avro Flying Saucer was absolutely ready to go into space (well it might have needed a few modifications LOL) 😀
If you read up on this it should have had a speed of about 300mph and fly at a few thousand feet, how did they get it SO wrong?
