OPEVAL Mission for PhantomII

….should he choose to accept it, naturally! 😀

PII, Old Chap….

I understand there’s an ‘Open House’ at Tupelo this Sunday (at the Army Guard unit at least, maybe larger, I’m not sure) and there’s a nice mission for you that requires only a notebook and pen (can anyone guess what’s coming!? I know Arthur can! 😀 )

News has reached me that the resident Army Guard unit has received at least four AH-64A Apaches, to operate alongside 1-104th CAV’s OH-58D Kiowa Warriors.

Now, I’m fairly certain that these have been passed-on to Tupelo from the Florida ARNG unit at Craig Commercial Center, Jacksonville. A long story, but the FL ARNG have given-up their Apache ops and are now awaiting Chinooks and Black Hawks.

Your simple task, if you happen to be going along on Sunday, PII, is to write some tail numbers down for me please!! The complement of Florida’s Apaches is well-known and I just wanted to confirm that these have made their way to Tupelo.

Obviously, if there are a few Kiowa Warriors around too, any tail numbers from those would also be most welcome as it’s been a while since they’ve been widely reported.

This tape will nw self-destruct in ten seconds 😀

Cheers!!

Steve
