Just curious, I saw recently a copy of ‘Shades of Kimbolton’ (below) in excellent condition on offer for £60, would this be a good/fair price for this publication?
What do you think?

Too many questions ,Central library around the early nineties. Maybe they are buried in the County Hall vaults or were nicked ?

There was an original 306th BG history presented to the town when the 306th left and Squadron diaries.
Which particular library?
When would this have been?
I don’t recall ever seeing those at the Bedford Central Library but do remember seeing a photocopied version of the attached (about 15yrs ago), at the County Library which used to be at County Hall, along with a few photocopied combat reports from the 306th’s first combat mission.
Are these what you mean?

If that’s an original edition, I should it buy it now! If a reprint, it’s not a bad price. Can’t find any on Abebooks.

Yes :mad:and all the 306th BG books have disappeared from the Bedford Library .
Which books are you refering to?
Any idea roughly when they went missing?

Thanks for the input chaps, much appreciated.
I recall seeing the copy in Kimbolton Church (in a small glass case?) some years ago. I do hope that no-one could stoop so low as to steal, what would amount to a memorial, from a church.:(:(:(

I have a copy with many 379thBG signatures in it. I have been offered over £100 in the past but it is not for sale. there was a copy in the church at Kimbolton but I believe it was stolen sometime ago (no not me I can assure you !)
