Hi all,
Unable to get to the PRO for a few weeks.
Does anyone have copies of the ORBS for 242 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. I am particularly interested in finding out which particular aircraft Joce Millard flew whilst he was with them briefly during the Battle.

Unfortunately I don’t have access to his log book either as the period covering his attachment to 242 had been stolen from it some years previously.

No, I had to check the microfilmed copy, at Kew; apart from the postings, I couldn’t find any mention of his name, at all.

I am aware of the dates of his postings but wanted to see if he is mentioned in the squadrons records.

Millard was posted in, from 1 Squadron 17-10-40, and posted out, to 615 Squadron, at Northolt, 3-11-40; there’s no record of him taking part in any patrols, at all, between those dates.
