Ordering Parts

Greetings All,

I’m working on a 1/48 scale T-33A made by Academy. In working on my aircraft, I accidentally ruined the front transparency (i.e. the front windscreen).

I’m wondering……short of buying another kit is there a way to order individual parts or part trees?

I’d like my T-Bird to have a front windscreen, but the one that came with my kit isn’t very useful to me now. ๐Ÿ™

Thanks for any and all help.

Actually I should have edited my post because I found the Academy site and sent them an e-mail shortly after posting. I hope they respond.

Until I destroyed the front windscreen, it was shaping up to be a really good looking bird. I think it’s probably a better kit than the Testors version (which I did years ago).

I didn’t know Academy makes a 1/48th T-33.
Any better than the ancient, much beloved Hawk/Testors kit?

I loved those as a kid when they were chrome plated…made into a great model especially with the RCAF decals

Cooper.

A nanosecond of Googling got me the Academy website which I will give the link to below. Click on the heading ‘about the company’ and it will give you contact details.

http://www.academy.co.kr/eng/index_eng.jsp

Easy peasy.

Edited to add link several hours later cos I’m stoopid. Hope this helps.

I’ll pay for a replacement part, I don’t really care. I just would like for my T-Bird to have a front windscreen. ๐Ÿ™

If anyone has a good idea for a first step please through it my way. Does Academy a phone number or something I could call to inquire about this?

Years ago some model manufacturers used to put a form in their boxes so you could request replacements for any parts that were missing or badly formed.

I take it Academy donโ€™t do thisโ€ฆor are you too honest? ๐Ÿ˜€

change of location

Might want to post this up in the Model section also. I would try contacting the manufacturer or searching online for after market addons?
