Bit hard to pull the wings off the Invader [unless you’re doing forbidden aerobatics]..

Pics when it’s here. Don’t know about the GC crowd however..

Hi Oscar

The guy with the TBMs on the Gold Coast (Steve Searle) has some Very nice and high capacity Spraying Facilities (He owns Swagman Caravans and Apex Fibreglass) – he did his own TBM wings and is doing the aircraft – just in case you wanted to paint something ?

Regards
John p

PS Did you read my PM to you about some pics.

We won’t be painting “her” before she arrives here [unless someone wants to do it for me].

Hi Oscar

Well done – Can’t wait to see her – and there will be no doubt it is a “her” after you do the painting!!!

PS Re the earlier post – Aren’t B29 turrets the same as the A26 sp won’t one of those fit – I imagine there are a few of those lying about somewhere .

Very funny Oscar but you get the gist – PC and woserism has gone mad- as if anybody could be offended – park her next to Big Nig when Murray gets her running and watch it then!!!!

Well as far as I’m concerned nobody ever asks to have the Statue of David’s old fella covered up or a thousand other historic nudes and this is just another historic nude – in the 60s nodbody would have batted an eyelid – want to talk about showing obsenity – stop the showing the nightly news first – Go for it Randal !!!!

Might the knockers at the front cause some whingeing at airshows??? 😮

The CAF’s 13th BS-marked Invader “The Spirit of Waco” has had a tape bra covering the pin-up’s breasts on occasion….noteablty the reactivation ceremony for the 13th BS at Dyess Air Force base a few years back. I don’t believe the USAF asked then to do it.

Simliar to Feeding Frenzy 🙂 I actually came up with the name for that aircraft. The owner decided on the shark mouth & then asked for suggestions for a name. The *feeding frenzy* name came from pilot Bruce Guberman’s ability to put away vast quantities of food…. (known as “Goose Superman” around Van Nuys….)

A-26 Turrets

Hey JDK

I have read that Aero Trader are A-26 Specialists and have a huge stockpile of parts/components etc for this type of aircraft (including Gun Turrets)

At least when “CHADWICK 6th” comes flying along, all those Cessna Coca Cola cans will know when to move. ‘Move it, or lose it !’ :dev2:

Are you planning on fitting Turrets and Rockets to your A-26 ?

Why? Are you going to be naughty in his neighbourhood? 😀

More seriously, I wonder how easy it is to find A-26 turrets – can’t imagine they are 2 a penny.

Thanks for your comments guys. As I get older the more I’m removed from political correctness that is taking over our lives. My thoughts are to represent the guys that flew these fantastic machines under very trying circumstances in an historical sense and to help preserve our history of aviation as well as have some fun. Who agrees???

OscarD,

Looks like one of those Cuban A-26 ‘crew’ modelled for this. 😉
