Been looking at the daily news updates on the planes that are going to be at Oshosh this year on the EAA Airventure 2005 website .http://www.airventure.org/ Lots of specials appearing this year, ranging from Global Flyer to a flight of 19 planes being flown over the pond from France. The CAF Liberator is going to be there along with the B29, Glacier Girl is making an appearance for the first time in 13 years (last time as a basket case straight from under the ice !).
Got to wondering if anybody has heard if the airworthy Me 262 or FW 190 are going to be there as well ….what with the 60 anniversary celebrations that are going on all aover the place ?.
Is anyone else going to Oshkosh this year from the forumites ?…cant remember the name, but one of you guys was sat under the wing of his plane for the duration proudly flying the Texan flag. Never did get to walk down that far along the rows of visiting planes to have a chat, maybe this year !.
