Sally B has something like that under the fuselage. Probably some modern navigation or radio equipment?

OOOh! Nice photos. What’s the domed “cap” in front of Fuddy Duddy’s windscreen?

Geedee, how many fort’s were there? How much did it cost for a flight in one? Maybe I should get myself over there next year!

One in static that you could walk round (Thunderbird) and the one I had a flight in (Fuddy Duddy).

Check out the costs on the Airventure 2004 site link. (probably not allowed to divulge secrets like cost’s on the web !). It was very well worth it and not as expensive as you might imagine.

Wow, lovely photos, thanks. Boy oh boy the Americans love their old aircraft shiny, don’t they – and they look fantastic. 🙂

What is the shiny silver 1930’s airliner with a top turret? Is it a Lockheed or Beech of some sort? Seems odd to see an airliner with a turret.

Civil Aircraft at Oshkosh

I’ve started an album for civil aircraft that were at Oshkosh. There ae some neat looking planes aimed at the new Sport Pilot category. I’ll be adding more pics over the next few days.

The Sea Fury was Sandy Thomson’s out of Canada. He’s just gotten back in the air after waiting on a new engine for the last year. We had a brief visit and Sandy said that he is very happy with the performance of the new engine.

Here’s a link to the Sea Fury page on Warbird Registry:

The Sea Fury is registered as NX1324. The FAA website lists it’s serial number as 41H623282, although I’m not sure where that came from…

And that Fury does look like a mistery indeed. Can someone give some info about it?

Fuselage

Very nice, Elwyn. Love the ones of Max Chapman’s shiny new-build TP-51C in 4th FG colours.

What is the fuselage in primer on the back of a trailer?

It’s a P-26. I didn’t get any other details though.

More Oshkosh

I’ve put a few Oshkosh shots up on webshots. Nothing fancy I’m afraid. Just the mundane old plane sitting on the grouind shots.
