Osprey Publishing – Your Thoughts?

I just wanted to get an idea from others on how they view the products put out by Osprey. I have quite a large number of their books (mostly from Aircraft of the Aces & Combat Aircraft but also quite a few of the Duel titles), and I tend to really enjoy what I get from them. I realize history can be a tricky thing, and sometimes people (even historians) get things wrong, so I would imagine it can be tough to put out such a wide variety of subjects as they do. I tend to read their titles as an intro to a particular subject, and if it intrigues me then I will look for other titles from other authors or publishing companies to continue to help with my curiosity on the subject.

I’ve recently finished the Aces titles on Soviet Hurricane Aces as well as the Griffon Spitfire title. Both were fascinating reads.

Any thoughts from others? Do you buy their books? Do you enjoy them? I’m considering getting a membership as I’m such a frequent buyer of their books although I realize Amazon might still be a way to get things cheaper depending on the book in question.
