Of course 2 Group were part of Bomber Command and 82 Sqn were one of it’s units.
Throughout the Battle of Britain Bomber Command were heavily involved in raids against coastal targets in France as an anti invasion measure and the Battles and Blenheims of 2 Group were as you say, right in the thick of it.
The casualty rate on anti shipping Blenheims was quite dreadful.

hi,
fair dues to Fighter and Bomber Commands, but 2 Group went thru the mill, especially the early yrs-1939-41. Truly a case of all hands to the pumps…
