Ouch

Broken ribs hurt.

DIY is dangerous.

Electric shocks = A+E and pain.

There’s an order to the above, but I can’t be bothered to sort it out 😮 .

Sounds excruciating but – you may consider it a mere scratch after the following.

I gather it happened 30-odd years ago and a chap on a Triumph came to a similarly abrupt halt, or rather the bike did. He slid up the tank and “through” the handlebars, performing on the way a permanent and total castration before destroying his legs on the ‘bars. I don’t know if he actually lost his legs but even if not they don’t work at all and he’s spent the time since in a wheelchair. A contemporary of his was telling me about it in the pub one night while pointing at the junction where it happened. Brought a pain to the trouser area just hearing about it.

Just a scratch Al.

I gave up motorcyling ‘cos of the increased risks. Total injuries from bikes were a fractured elbow and a cracked rib.

DIY? Broken toe, broken ribs, virtually severed index finger, numerous serious cuts, bruises and burns!!

Thanks guys – Although it hurts to laugh your responces made me smile 🙂

Bikes are the work of the devil , fecking crack cocaine is fugging cheaper and less harmful to the body .

Bought a new GSXR SRAD when they first came out , thought I was the bees knees , ended up in tears , hit the rear wheels of a coal lorry , ended up smashing the instruments and screen with my a$$ , loads of perspex in my a$$ , and had an involuntary circumcision , loads of stitchs around the area where the sun don’t shine and bromide in my tea for 2 months – believe me , there is a fecking lot of blood in your knob .
Ended up with a mega blood clot in my leg too and ended up in St Johns getting that out – my wife thought it would be funny to make me a set of Thomas Tank engine PJ’s out of TT curtains – seriously uncool when a Fourm member came to visit ( thanks Der ! )

Getting better though , stopped motorcycling , losing way too many toes – had to stop just in case having no toes would effect my sense of balance .
Bought a new Jetski though , this could be fun. :dev2:

Hey I’ll have you know that I have had ZERO stitches in the last 3 months – and they were only after managing to mangle the middle finger on my right hand .
Famous last words from my wife ” don’t you think you should switch the mower off first ” then the obvious ” na honey , the thing wont start again – look it’s only a bit of wire round the blade aaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhh f4ck ! “
Minor contusions on both hands , severe mess of finger .

Mind you I forgot about the staples in my head for a bit and my boss had to cut them out with a pair of tinsnips in the office , all of my colleagues are fully conversant with methods of removing stitches , staples and glass-fibre arm ( and leg ) casts

I thought Al’s minimal injuries were only to others, he’s made a quite a mess of himself at times. 🙂

Sorry to hear that John, hope the ribs heal quickly. 🙁

Next time, drop ageorge a pm first, I’m sure he’d be delighted to tell you the best way to blow yourself up with minimal injuries – he’s been perfecting the methods for years!!

‘DIY’ is dangerous… always suspected as much!

You are much safer hanging sharp heavy bits of aircraft from Dakotas, when will we learn….

…hope you are feeling OK now 🙂
