And TWICE a Piper Colt was overturned by the draught from a Britannia on Liverpool’s apron in the 1960s!(Not the same aircraft 😉 )

I seem to remember an Aer Lingus Boeing 747 flipping an Auster at Dublin in the early 1970s. No injuries there either.

Wonder if that could be developed into a VTO technique… you know… point your aircraft at an engine start up your prop, set your flaps etc etc and get the Antonov pilot to start the engine while you up your revs. THe power of your prop holds you in place or stops you from going backwards too much and when you get enough lift you can pull back on the stick. Of course when you hit static air you will drop like a rock and any STO advantage would be lost by having to have an An-124 or C-5 on the airfield… Ahhh well, just a thought. 🙂
