On the way home from a shopping trip in Northampton we stopped in at Sywell & Harrington as the weather was good.

I’m just in the process of moving house at the moment so will sort a load out for you. Glad we avoided the horseβs head treatment, it would upset the cat and not too mention the wife!

I went to check the Harvard with Ben, and she could still make it as a static display bird. She needs lotsa paint stripper and love of course, but still could be a nice gate guardian.

glad you liked the museum stevieb and thanks for the very kind offer of magazines…..these are a great attraction for the kids, they love them…..also any old unwanted plastic kits work as well.
Colin, re Gordon King’s harvard/T-6/SNJ…………he still owns it….Gordon is a member of Sywell Aviation Museum as well…..he is still doing very well, saw him last tuesday
He sold most of his stuff off. We (beechrestorations/texantomcat) bought his harvard stuff….he still has some very nice stuff in his collection and had some very nice stuff years ago….Nice Guy

Yes we did visit the museum, very good it is too. I noticed you have a load of old aviation magazines that you give away, do you want anymore? If so I can drop a load over to you next weekend. Thanks for the kind comments about my photos.

The T6 was owned by Gordon King one time Sally B ground grew member, we had the Harvard at our museum for a number of years before it departed to be rebuilt to as you see it today.
I met Gordon king back in 1987 for the first time when he was viewing the harvard which was part of a batch that I think were from the Dutch airforce that had come into Anthony Huttons ownership.
from what I remember Gordon swapped his B25 nose with Hutton which went onto Aces High which was going to be fitted to the B.25 camera ship which came to the uk to film Memphis Belle and onto Peice of Cake.
ops sorry gone on abit.

Great shots as ever Steve. The Harvard needs some serious TLC.

Whats the story with the Texan? Is a museum item, or a future flyer?
