Overhaul Schedule Douglas C-54 ca.1945

Reading about the Berlin Airlift in 1948/1949 C-54s were serviced every 200 hours initially in Germany then mainly at Burtonwood. For the heavier overhaul every 1000 hours they were rotated back to the USA to military depots but also increasingly to civilian contractors such as Transocean who set up a factory style production line (turnaround about 15 days) . What I want to know is whether the 1000 hour cycle for heavy overhaul applied in 1945 or was it a shorter more conservative period?[ATTACH=CONFIG]260677[/ATTACH]
