Overhead My House

Caught this when it was directly overhead ‘Raymy Towers’
A6-EBH descending into GLA at about 5000ft.

Probably emptying the toilets ….

God I hope not 😮

The toilets are emptied from under the fuselage tanks while the aircraft is stationary on the ground, it’s definately dumping fuel

ah, but the vapour trail looks like it emanates from under the tail by a good few meters ruling out the APU

Is that not the APU exhaust? or is it right in the end of the tail on the 777 like most?

It is yes…. 🙂

i don’t think it is dumping fuel – if it was, wouldn’t you see trails coming from the edge of the wing? Besides, can 777s dump fuel, or aren’t modern airliners equipped with the fuel jettison feature now?

Nice shot anyway!

I agree I don’t think it was dumping fuel, however the 777 does have this feature as the following photo shows:

Nice – I like that red underbelly on the Emirates aircraft.
