Bit of a longshot but does anyone recognize this wire mesh item? I’m told it’s from a wartime aircraft and it appears to be a holder for a personal oxygen bottle but I haven’t been successful in positively identifying it. Would love to know when it dates to, and country of origin. Thanks!

Thanks you Aircraft. I only found one photo of a RAF oxygen bottle holder, and it was similar to the example above except for the top. Perhaps the holder in the original post is an earlier version than the one below?
