OZ Air

As said in the national tv news 2 days ago their will most likely be a new airline in australia called “OZ Air”, it plans to fly from secondary airports of Archerfield(Brisbane), Essendon(Melbourne) and Bankstown(Sydney) as low cost airline utilising the BAe 146 aircraft!

But there is strong competition with Jet Star and Virgin Blue, my comment says go for it i hope it goes well!

It will be owned by Minardi team boss Paul Stoddard who is Australian and owns a charter airline in the UK called European Im sure that you have all heard of it.This man is extremley determined and I belive that they will get into the skies and probablly prove quite succesful.

DOnt forget there are some jets at bankstown

Dartie, my In-laws literally live 3 minutes walking distance from Bankstown Airport, so when I’m down there I can hear all the jet activity that goes on from the house. They get an occassional bizjet, and that’s it. Very few and far between. The residents in that area would not be keen on getting regular jet service. It was proposed a few years ago, but shot down.

As far as Essendon goes, why would they use it as opposed to Tullamarine, when the terminals are literally next door?

They would probably have more chance going head to head with Jetstar out of Avalon, Dartie

They’ll be fighting an uphill battle to get authority to fly out of Essendon
