Hi anyone know what happened to P-38L Lightning ‘Miss Behavin’ N505MH I saw her at Biggin Hill in 1998. I think she was owned by the late Doug Arnold’s Warbirds Of Great Britain. Anyone know where she is now. Anyone got any pics they want to post up !
Thanks
Andrew.

I have some pics of the P38 in bits at Evergreen. Also seem to recall a Spitfire in bits. Can’t remember the year but it was just before an airshow. On the ramp was a NASA 747 used for carrying the Shuttle and a very, very, VERY shiney B17. Would have been 2000 possibly?

On the same note anyone got any pics of California Cutie they want to share.
This was the a/c that was tragically lost at Duxford.
I have some air to air shots of this P38 on its maiden flight after restoration from Chino, I was lucky enough enough to be up in the P51 on a “orientation” flight when we got a call asking if we could meet up for some air to air work. The pilot asked me if I wanted to return to Chino first or just stay up! my 20min flight ended up lasting about an hour but my wife and buddy were having fits when I got back as nobody told them and I was 40min overdue!!
I would post them but I don’t have a flicker or similar photo account.

Hey! That’s my grandfather’s P-38! I would appreciate any pictures of P-38 44-53186 as well…
Thanks for your help…..another aircraft goes to the USA 🙁
Well, actually, it started in the USA. My grandfather bought it from the Army/Air Force War Assets Administration, Kingman, Arizona as surplus (new — never flown) for $1,250.
Today, I can pay $2,000 for a 20-minute flight in my grandfather’s P-38… I’m saving my money… 😀
(My grandfather actually owned eight P-38’s for his aerial mapping business. Two of them are currently in museums on the United States’ west coast…)

Interesting to see the pics of TFC’s P38 during it’s repair, despite being ar DX every weekend at the time I’d forgotten what a job it must have been!!!

And a couple more from Biggin Hill, 16-6-91,
N909WJ and the man himself. Does anyone have the Bu?
Geoff.
The FAA shows 16203, which is consistent with an FM-2 BuNo.

Another of Doug Arnold’s rarely seen aircraft was this P40 N/ N9950, seen here at Biggin during the early 90,s.

Four from the Doug Arnold Hanger at Biggin Hill, 18-6-89.
1) Is the F4U-1A NX55JP or FG1D N55JP & Bu 88391. I have both IDs on the back of the photo
2) I believe this is the Kingcobra that this was later sold to TFC as their 2nd Kingcobra. Again I’ve got 2 IDs on the back of the photo 42-69097 & 42-68897. Still
3) N314BG/44-73140.
4) Spitfire XVI G-SXVI/TE356/7001M/D-A.
