So we have two first flights in two days – Is this the first time this has happened to the P-40 family in about 65 years!

My favorite World War II airplane is having a banner year apparently……I like it!
I’m sorry but Mustangs and Spitfires just don’t hold a place in my heart like the mighty Warhawk. She has a beautiful and purposeful look all in one.

Plus the first flight in the US in January makes three and its only April!
And it’s not finished… at least 2 more P-40’s will fly this year (Don Brooks & Ron Fagen’s P-40E).

I believe this one is scheduled to be delivered to Vintage Wings of Canada. It will be finished in the markings of RCAF 260 Squadron honouring Stocky Edwards – Canada’s highest scoring living World War II fighter ace.

Interesting comments there re sharks teeth as well – the Merlin engined “olive drab” looks nice and simple, the second looks set for “teeth”.
Can’t recall the fighter group now, but there was a US unit based in India/Burma with white skulls and different colour spinners per squadron – that would do it for me.
No more sharks teeth ! (please !) then again, when I own and fly a P-40…. I know I know….:(
