Looks like big beautiful doll, no mention of pilot but aircraft destroyed

The passenger was an experienced former airline pilot, who had flown DC-8’s 747’s and DC-10’s for Seaboard World, Flying Tigers and Fedex and was a regular visitor to LHR and later STN.
RIP.

Indications are that it is the American marked Big Beautiful Doll and that sadly the pilot has not survived.
RIP and condolences to the family and friends.
This will now mean that there has unfortunately been a brace of P-51’s involved in accidents within the last couple of days in the U.S, although thankfully the first one involved no injuries, just a dented pride and a damaged machine.
If it is BBD, it will be ironic that both ‘BBD’s’ either side of the pond will have been destroyed in recent years.
