Any further update?

I saw it along wih the RR Spitfire and Mr Brooks Two Seater on thursday night when I was invited in from the cold hangar next door for a cup of tea. Absolutely no sign of any work going on – lots of bits of spitfire fuel tank parts seemed to be the current project.

Engine is with Reto Track and Air Ltd getting done and Airframe is still at Filton getting worked on. Hope that helps.

i was at legends on the sunday last year when they were doing engine runs and a short test flight. if i remember, the problem in the morning was the engine was flooding.

The Prop is at Coventry for repair. The Engine has had it’s shock load inspection carried out ok, though I believe the cause is still on going., the damage on the spar where the gear failed is not as bad as they first envisaged and they are I believe awaiting a repair scheme for it…….

I can’t recall where I read it, but it seems the reason for the ‘power loss’ is still being investigated and there is damage to the spar.
