Bottisham Airfield Museum is proud to announce that a P-51D Mustang will be returning to Bottisham after a 67 year gap.
Mustangs served at Bottisham during WW2 with both the RAF and USAAF (361st Fighter Group).

The group has commisioned a fibre glass replica of the fuselage from the bulkhead to aft of the canopy from Gateguards UK.

We are currently collecting cockpit fittings and have a bulhead, canopy and instrument panel. we plan in time to have a complete cockpit on display.

Our wants list include a seat, throttle quadrant and N9 gunsight.
The P-51 and our other exhibits (USAAF link trainer and P47 supercharger) will be on show at our open day on Sunday April 10th between 10.30am -4pm.
Our displays will be augmented with miliary vehicles and re-enactors.

Thanks for the kind words.
Next is a 1940’s dance to raise funds for the P-51 cockpit project.
