Yes indeed – I always thought it was a pretty bizarre advert for our services, especially as the engine change work had been done at HFL just a few months beforehand!

Nice to see Short Fuse Sallee again. We rebuilt it after its fire at Dijon some years ago, when I was with Historic Flying.
I seem to remember seeing a sequence of pretty dramatic pictures of the fire incident on the wall at HFL, Audley End – I think the last shot showed the engine area well ablaze with the pilot (understandably) sprinting away at speed!

BTW, the Sallee does have two ‘e’s at the end – there is one after the bomb, it just isnt obvious!
