P39 found in Russia

Does anyone know the current whereabouts of the P39 that was recently recovered in Russia?

Thanks Dave.
I wonder if anyone opened the containers of food that were found in the wings!

Didnt Jim Pearce recover it? Beleive its up for sale at present – not heard that its been sold so I imagine its still in the UK – though the same question could be said for his Me109?

I think Peter speaks of the intact P-39 lifted from a lake last year; Mark Sheppard did a thorough writeup in a “prominent British aviation magazine” about it, which explained why such a pristine aircraft with no battle damage was found with the pilot still on board (!!!).

No idea where it’s at right now, though… and no, I don’t know if it will be at Legends. >:)

Would you mean #42-8784 from the Soviet Air Force that was recovered in 11/96 and delivered to Chino? 🙁
