P40 and P51 for the Netherlands?

Flicking through one of the magazines for this month (Aeroplane), I noticed that a P51D and an un-specified model of P40 have been added to the Dutch register. The P51 is PH-PLI and the P40 is PH-PXL, both registered to the same person. Can anyone shed any light on the identities and current status of these two?

That is another one. The Two machines with the reservations have nothing to do with the one of the Early Birds. But a reservation for a registration is just that, this not indicates that a P51 and P40 are indeed coming.

And this is not the first time a reservation for a 51 has been entered. A guy named Groenevold (sp?) reserved PH-MMF 20 years ago according to an old Flypast. Anyway, Coert Munk is a member here, so maybe he can shed some light about this recent development on the Dutch register.

Thanks to everyone for all the information so far, I’m surprised at how long ago the registrations were reserved.
Am I right in thinking that PH-PLI is Miss Ashley/Trusty Rusty, or is this a second P51?

In the actual version of the Dutch register, the registrations PH-PLI and PH-PXL are absent.

The registrations are only reserved and the Aeroplane article says ‘reserved’ as well

Here you can find some information about the Mustang “Trusty Rusty” restoration project with the Early Bird organisation at Lelystad.

http://www.vroegevogels.org/indexeng.htm

Go to “planes” and select the Mustang.

These are as stated above old. There is a P-51 going on dutch reg and that is the former Miss Ashley. Now at Lelystad, under restoration with Wings over Holland. The owner/organisation is Early Bird.

Ant I think these are the two that are going to France over on Wixs there was a thread a few weeks back if you type in P-40 going to France you should find the thread.

I don’t think so

these 2 registrations were first reserved back in October 2004 to C. Munk

PH-PLI P-51 Mustang to C. Munk reservation on 22.10.04
PH-PXL Curtiss P-40 to C. Munk reservation on 22.10.04

I think they must have been missed the first time around in Aeroplane – I know who the owner is but not what the previous identities are! – Anyone else her have an idea
