P7350 ???

Could this be P7350? It is on a Queen Mary trailer of 49 MU, October/November 1940 and shows cannon damage to port front of cowling. From undamaged blades and undersurfaces it has clearly “landed” rather than bellied in. There is a Polish emblem forward and below cockpit. On 25th October 1940 Ludwik Martel of 603 Squadron was shot up in P7350. I reckon this could well be the BBMF’s P7350. However, my copy of the 603 Sqn ORB is in my office and not to hand but I had correspondence with Peter Olver about 25 October in which he descibes himself, Soden and Martel getting clobbered that day. A note from a conversation with Martel way back in 1974 says that he told me his log book gave P7325 for 25 October 1940, not P7350 and I see another source gives the damage date for 7350 as 31 October. So…..! Any views…..???? Either way, the Spit on the lorry could well be Martel’s, whether it be 7350 or 7325. Andy Saunders
