P80 in Albania, an interesting history

Hello everyone, I stumbled across this on an unrelated web forum
she could do with a bit of tlc me thinks!

enjoy

`Location is in Gjirokastra, southern Albania
The only post-war thing in this war museum is this P-80(T-33) that was captured by the Albanian Air Force in 1956, when this shooting star was gathering intelligence with the camera it had on-board. The pilot was set free, while the plane was confiscated. The counter-intelligence officers stripped this airplane from top to bottom, that’s why the bad condition.`

Looks like some metal work was hastily patched aft of the national markings.

Certainly needs TLC but I don’t think this a/c is as rare as implied; most references quote this aircraft as a T-33A not a P-80. The forum archive includes the following:
“A T-33A, serial 51-4413, is now resident in the Gjirokastra Weapons Museum, Albania. The USAF aircraft was on a delivery flight from France to either the Yugoslav or Greek Air Force when it was forced down by Albanian fighters on the 23rd December 1957.”

In the attached link, it’s apparent that this is a T33

Albeit not a P80, this must be one of the most scenic location of any “preserved” aircraft!
