Photos will of cource be credited as requested.

Spoke with Pete today, he’s going to scan the restoration album onto a disc & let me know when it’s ready.

Here’s one I took, feel free to use it. It was taken the day it set off from Van Nuys to Dayton:

As you can see the fuselage is sitting at an angle to make it narrower on the trailer (horizontal stab is still mounted). The orange contraption was hinged & the Spit was mounted level, then the left side raised with a forklift, supports fold out of the way & the entire plot laid over. It’s probably still laying around at Dayton in the weeds someplace. The flag now resides in my garage.

Just remembered, I’ve got one of the original wheels laying around someplace.

Pete Regina at VNY has a photo album of the entire restoration. I’ve been asking to borrow it for years so I can scan the pics as I also worked on it. If anyone ever takes it apart again they will find my *autograph* hidden in all sorts of odd places.
I can tell you that it still has PA908 on the main spar doohicky as we refused to paint over that bit. It’s also stenciled inside in a few places that most people will never see.
