I was waiting for the reader to the patronising lets explain what it is for kids explanation of what a Cruise missile and nuclear bomb is.
I always hated that as a child, just because I wasn’t an adult didn’t mean I couldn’t understand complicated concepts.

Strange report, it sounded like it was on CBBC Newsround!
LOL! 😀 Yeh, it does sound like that, I think it was originally an ITN News story;

…and the news reader does sound like Kate Sanderson, I think she was the Newsround presenter the last time I was young enough to watch it!

Video of the test launch…

Seems like a very modular launch system, the tubed canisters could be made readily available for both surface and perhaps sub-surface naval launch systems in the future.

Very interesting! Thanks Jawad. That setup reminds me of the BGM-109G land based Tomahawk system;

Also, it may be possible that it’s a dual use system, I’m sure that enclosure could be transferred to a naval system, possibly the additional F-22Ps on order or any future PN vessel?
very interesting indeed
I don’t think that newer babur will fit on a small ship like F-22P (3000tons) especially these Vertical launch system (unless PN is willing to sacrifice the helicopter hangar) but its is very likely PN may equip its future frigate enlarged version of F-22P or Type 054A.
My understanding is that cylinder tubes may have been developed to store missile for long maintenance-free shelf life.

Thanks for the pics. They’ve gone back to using the box type VLS launcher, from the previous cylinder type VLS launcher. Possible SLCM and land based varients perhaps?
