No, not Michael but Sarah, the governor of Alaska. Who you may well ask as well as a lot of other Americans. My guess is that McCain just shot himself in the foot.

Corrupt, gun loving homephobe with an unmarried pregnant daughter named… ‘Bristol’ sounds perfect for the job!
Corrupt?
Find a person in Politics that isn’t!!!! Then shoot them before they turn bad.
Gun Loving?
USA statute. Change the law if it isn’t liked.
Unmarried, pregnant daughter?
Big deal.
You’ll have to discount most of the HoParliament and the HoReps/Senate if the three subjects you mention are “Not good for public office”
Next time I vote, I shall vote for whichever candidate pays me £10. I can join the corruption game. Party is no matter.
Or, a good looking one (Female of course) it doesn’t matter to me who gets in, the problems and issues will always be the same.
Anyway, back to gals in politics……who is the labour looker? She’s a minister too I think.

Actually there’s more than 4 Old shape,
Norway has at least one………..
Inger-Lise Hansen,
Christian Peoples Partycheers,

A bit lopsided, that boat.
And “Christian”…..that’s no good for a Pinnochio relationship!
By: old shape - 17th September 2008 at 22:39
This is self-evidently the case.
Otherwise you would surely have included Rachida Dati, France’s Ministre de la Justice, in your list.
And who do we get as Justice Minister? Jack Straw, that’s who! 🙁
Nah, she’d have to pay me.

She was a soft porn star actually. Who says Italian politics is corrupt ? Perhaps she would have saved Alitalia ?
No, never heard of her :p
I was sure the beauty queen was more recent and found mention of Mara Carfagna, sixth in Miss Italy and quoted as “the most beautiful Minister in the world”.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mara_Carfagna
Italian politics eh? Got to love it.
Oh, that nice Mrs Sarkozy was on Jools Holland’s programme last night. See here for a clip.

If that is indeed true….. Then all those “immoral, unethical liberal” lectures will carry far less weight or even totally mute……

:eek:I don’t think she was a beauty queen, she was a stripper or something…… and not a good looking stripper!
Here’s what I like…….. funny stuff!

Cicciolina… ?
In the early 90’s I’d try to keep abreast of her policies… I still do nowadays…;)

Interesting…..
From an external observer….several thousands of kms away….:D
Sen. McCain selection was somewhat baffling, but it seems to have brought a fair bit of life into his campaign…
Governor Palins son is being sent to Iraq I believe? I know people will bring in ‘ulterior motives’ for that (so spare me). How many in the US senate and congress have their son & daughters in the armed forces let alone in the battle field? So I think she sends a strong message, IMHO…
Yup and she is beautiful…..:D 😮
Despite 1st impressions, it seem Sen. McCain has made a very interesting choice… I think he now has a slight lead in the polls?
PS:
US seems to be in a mess these days… I think questioning Sen. Obama’s experience (with all due respect to him) is very valid. Is he ready for such a complicated job? In contrast people know the pros AND cons of Sen. McCain.
So to the US citizens in this forum…
Is Sen. Obama ready for the big job? Or is Sen. McCain the practicaL choice? 🙂
Thanx,
hypie 😮

Didn’t a beauty queen get elected to the Italian Parliament. Now why would I know that but not her policies?
Cicciolina… ?

Phwoooar !!!! :dev2:
You’re right. She’s very good looking. Quite trim and well cared for. Looks good tied to that dock. Pity they let those politicians stand in front of her like that. Floatplanes should get centre stage.
(4) And Italy is bound to have one.

Don’t forget the Finnish PM (or is she the President?) that looks like American chat show host Conan O’Brien…if that’s where your taste lays.:D

Good idea.
However, I’m disqualifying Mme Sarkozy here and now on the grounds that it’s only fair to all the other political females.
“Wife of” doesn’t count….even though she is a looker.
There are only 4 good looking gals in Politics.
(1) Palin.
(2) A Russian one, hair like her from Star Wars.
(3) There is actually a good looking Labour (UK Labour) one.
(4) And Italy is bound to have one.
(5) So is Greece.
OK, 5.
You may well have guessed that I don’t do Politics, or the news.

Yes, being there right now, the democrats seem to have based most of their campaigning on the “minorities”, or the eco-cult, peace and love hippies.
They just seem to have missed that the business owning, mostly white middle class is quite important, and they will vote. And obviously not for them. They don’t want more of a “nanny” state which will tax more on the middle class, to assist all those who kick back and use the system (and I’m not saying here that all those who need help do so becaue they abuse the system, I’m saying that some do, just to be clear)We’ll see what happens, but in any case, I’d say that Palin was a pretty good choice, and judging by the reactions of the left leaning media, the democrats are scared.
After all the record foreclosures, bankruptcies, mortgage crisis, hell going on with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, Merril Lynch, Bears and Stearns, Lehman Bros, oil prices, falling dollar, and so on and on about to hit the fan.
What middle class? Do we still have an American Middle Class? Or have they packed up, learned quick Mandarin like Michael Phelps, to run some factory in Guangzhong?
