An extremely busy airport. Loads of great vantage points for taxi shots, landing shots, take off shots. Lots of spotters and photographers dotting the perimeter and a great variety of traffic. Here is a selection….
These were taken from a car park overlooking 06R/24L during the whole week in no particular order. All shots are reduced to 20% of original size for quicker loading…

More to follow (lots more !)….

VeeOne’s Palma pics moved here. The original poster’s photos and themes were somewhat lost when the 1983 pics were posted.

Some more from Palma. These were taken in a 45 minute period airside at the end of module C. The planes are on the link taxiway between the two runways. Some nice bonus material…

Saw EIGHT Ryanair aircraft in a row taxi past as well as some other UK charters in this period. The airport doesn’t seem to have any quiet periods at all.

A few more 24L arrivals….

These were from further away from runway so were anonymous backgrounds. I was here before deciding to walk along the road to get the mountains…

Cheers for looking. Lots more to follow…

Some fabulous pictures here Culpano. Love the advertising livery on the TUIfly for Deutsche Bahn. Also the Jet2 B737-300 with winglets….maybe we’ll see some more of their aircraft been retrofitted?
Cheers Tom. I got all the TUI schemers inc the Hapag Lloyd retro and the “TUI 96”. I also got the Condor schemer B757-300. Will share later. In fact I was a bit slack a couple of times and missed a Transaero B767, B777 and TU-204 but at least I’ve seen those already. Also missed a Nordstar B737-800 as my missus wanted lunch at a “nice beachfront restaurant”. How selfish of her 😀

Ta Aeropics…no AeroGals or Zambezi but lots of charters. I loved the place.
Some arrivals on 24L. In order to get the mountainous backgrounds you have to park the car and walk about 200 yards back down the main road parallel to the runway. There is a gate set back so it’s a good place to stand but it’s better having small step ladders. Here is a selection from a couple of hours mid to late morning.
British invasion !

Other countries now….

Ryanair….ok it got us here though….

An incredible set Culpano, both in quantity and quality. The Russian stuff and Voltea 717 are especially nice. A very fruitful holiday it seems.

Culpano, some super shots from PMI, well done !
At last a decent photo of Volotea on the web !!
Liked the Transaero & Air Explore (flew on the latter earlier this month) on ZB
BHX – AGP.
Keep up the good work.:):)

Great mix of shots! I really the TUIFly 96 one! 🙂

What a variety! I think that I like the Sky livery the best. It was onboard a Transeuropa Caravelle back in the mid 70s, that I last visited PMI. Back then, the ramp was populated by more Caravelles, along with a ‘sprinkling’ of Cv990s, BAC 1-11s, Dc9s, Boeing 720s and DC8s, yes it really was a long time ago.;)
