I see the new US Drama series “Pan Am” starts next Wednesday night on BBC2 at 9pm with a preview documentary on Pan Am on BBC2 at 8pm tonight.
John Travolta’s 707 has had a make-over into Pan Am livery for the series and looks very good.

The show’s fans (turbofans?) try to give it a tailwind:

Ah, fooled by a ‘Colonial cousin’ with a ‘Bristol’ avatar interloping on a British forum!

AMB..the program is on Sunday in the US…hence XRZ61’s comment.

It WAS shown last week, rescheduled to late on Tuesday evening on BBC2. There are 22 episodes in this first series, which will take us well into next year.

And the real reason why it wasn’t on last week is there was a special holiday film broadcast. As we get closer to the holidays, we’ll have more of that.
I read on a TV website is the future of the series is still undecided…one cast members says the show has been cancelled, but the network says it may return next fall.

That explains why it wasn’t on last Sunday.
No, because it was on Saturday night and is every week! 😀
ABC confirms the series is not cancelled and a 14-episode Second Series is planned for the New Year.
It is what it is, a light-hearted piece of recreated ’60s Americanism that can be shown to the whole family without any
swearing or violience. The aircraft CGI scenes are amusing if nothing else and I await any scenes that show a real aircraft!

Absolutely awful programme, though at first it might have been a tongue in cheek take on the sterotypical 60 stewradess and flight crews image, but no it is just plane awful.

The girls are well worth the watch if you like insanely hot 60’s stewardesses.
They may not be heating up the screen for much longer:
