RE: VW
An reference to the controversial relationship between VW and Hitler. Not meant to be political, merely ironic.

RE: Tokyo..
Has anyone seen the volkswagon w12 ? Its very nice except for the louvers in front of the front wheels. The lotus exige is in my opinion the nicest looking current sports car.

RE: Tokyo..
Its a combo of the Tokyo Motor show and the Auto Salon. A lot of the vehicles are radical – or modified – designs yes.

The Bentley is a superb blend of style and technology. But I can never afford one. Hopefully I can finance this Jaguar version, if they ever get around to building it.

Too right mate !
Must make enquiries about the eight Griffons currently sitting decomposing on the two Shak’s that are still held at Paphos International a half hours drive up the coast from where I am currently living.
Just think….one for the front room…one for the boat, nah bugger it…three for the boat and to hell with the fuel consumption…and one for a car (open topped, two seater of course !) and the rest just to sit a polish in the evening.
Sigh….Must take my fur lined Anorak off and come back to reallity.
Cheers

Gary
Just what every living room needs – a thumping great V12 for the mantelpiece!!! Would have made a great fan in summer if the prop came with it.;)

RE: Paris Motor Show.
Hi Andrew
Havent been to the Paris Motor show but I did go to ‘Retromobile’ in Paris about 10 years ago. Full of old stuff for cars, bit like Beaulieu in the UK but I did see two things I really really wanted. One was a chuffing great Merlin in as found condition (not from a wreck but mounted on a cradle of some sort and in one peice with all ancillieries (?) attached …bloke wanted 35000.00 FF for it… a little voice in my heart said yes buy it…then a great big loud voice in my cheque book said “no way” and the other thing was a two foot wingspan model of a Mustang (P51…not car version) in Mahogany all polished and looking absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Asked how much in my pigeon French and was told 1000.00FF ! Needless to say, I come home empty handed.
Ho hum
Cheers
Gary

Yes true Hand the crowds can get on your nerves… but I used to go to the motor show every time it was in London… but seems I will never be able to go again, because they have now moved it up to birmingham 🙁
Is any from any of the forums going to the Birmingham motor show this year????
