A lunchtime BBC news report confirms that 12 people including 2 police officers have been shot dead during an attack by alleged Islamic terrorists. Many more are seriously injured.
The report says that two men walked into the offices of a Paris satirical magazine known to print articles and cartoons about Islam. The men produced automatic rifles and singling out four employees shot them dead while chanting ‘Allah Akhbar’.
Further shootings including the two policement followed. The gunmen escaped into the city.
