……forumites in the mid-Hertfordshire area may like to be reminded that Bank Holiday Monday (29th.) is the date for Burnham Green Village Day. This must be one of the few village fetes in the U.K. which boasts a non- BBMF Spitfire display, courtesy of a well known warbird fixer, owner and pilot who grew up locally. Publicity posters indicate what looks like a mk.9 to me, but the pic is probably just a stock photo of a Spit. Forumite Mr. Roobarb is often in the know as to what is happening, perhaps he can be persuaded to spill the beans on which one and who’s flying it. Hope for better weather on this occasion, the display has been rained off for the past 2 years.
