Part found-any ideas?

We found this small piece on Hunsdon airfield that looks like a bracket of some sort. Now, with the numbers our first thoughts were Spitfire because of the 300 prefix. It is about five inches long.
Marks are:
30053-541 40
6S
212 in a circle, P to the left of this stamp.

Any help gratefully received:)

With no signs of damage, it looks to have been removed with care. Doubt there is any more substantial bits…. like a firewall with the dataplate;)
