Part ID? Triple Engine Gauge??

A US Army engine gauge, triple with Fuel,Temperature and Oil pressure, about 7 inches in length and 1 and 1/2 inches wide, come with capillary, no real part numbers or ID, any takers, thank you, Darrell

I believe it is an aircraft gauge, as “A S U.S. Army” should stand for “Air Service U.S. Army”. Also, it has the Pioneer Instrument Company “PI” logo at the top of two of the gauges, although it’s possible they made gauges also for tanks. The Army Air Service did experiment with vertical gauges in the early ’20s though, which seems to match some of the numbers at the bottom of the gauge.

It may have come from an early Curtiss Hawk biplane or early Boeing fighter.

Well local museum has 2 Shermans, guess I can check those, came with box of old aircraft gauges, thus check with you fellas first, thanks.

I dont think its an Aero gauge setup by the look of it, i believe there was something similar to that in the Sherman Tank though.

the capilliary attached to it looks to my eyes to be a coolant temp sensor, is it hollow at the tip or solid?
