Having never set a quiz here is my first (and probably only) attempt
The question is – what is it and which aircraft is it from?

Should do John – I was involved with them for 5+ years until recently.

correct in that is from a Catalina – for Lasham read Lee on solent (2 there for 3+ years now) Apologies re count – it is 4 (had forgotten then orange one from NW departed some time ago.
Now that the aircraft type is known – any ideas as to what it is 😉
D’oh, I was thinking Lee on Solent and must have typed Lasham 😡 oh well never mind, you knew where I meant

Go on then I’ll have a stab – Catalina ?
But I can only think of 4…
Duxford – Rasta Cat
RAFM Cosford
Lasham x2

only 5 in the UK of which 1 flies – not one of the most glamorous aircraft of ww2 but it did its job very well – had a post war career with airlines and government operations. A pilot flying one won the VC – is that enough? 😉

That sure narrows it down 😀
I for one just don’t have a clue  More hints will be appreciated!
