😮 Hi Matt,great idea of a DC3 cockpit, howeverits one MAJOR undertaking
just wondered if you realised the logistics and cost of moving it,

and storage ??its a Massive piec of kit, if you wanted a whole fusalage
we are taling “WIDE LOAD”.,

a cockpits a great project for you, but if its for Zoyland its too soon, there is only 3 of us, and we will for most of the time not be there, i am really worried that you are lumbering yourself with something that you could not handle ,If its for Zoyland it could all collapse before we can start,we cant have a aircraft graveyard, if its a cockpit, then fine, we chip in the rent , and it could go with the canberra cockpits x 2 that we have ,
I mean the cost of moving a complete hunter i imagine would be the best part of £1000, then theres the jigs and rebuilding etc,
its just a friendly warning of “have you thought this through”
Not avin a go, the hangers at Zoyland i believe are for the LIVE aircraft, the Museum as and when it comes in a few years time will be our doing,but being theres only a few of us, at the mo its gonna take time ,
clearing up and finding a building “That is in fitting with the historial airfield, and that we can afford “is the Number 1 priority,
because at the moment it is only a hard standing thats overgrown and covered in cow dung, and tyres, its not a pretty site,with NO buildings to house things in,
i am just trying to get you to realise the mammoth task to get even to the starting blocks ahead, planning ,cleaning, building etc , security ,the list is endless,

i am primarily looking for a dc-3 fuselage so if anyone can help me locate one for sale

failing that any major dc3 parts such as a cockpit, tailplane, fine etc would be good
