This item,
3¾ inches across, heavy brass, 2½ inch wide aluminium screw in cap with a deep wide slot.Marks: SAG390/49 and a round inspection stamp with RMWP3 contained within.

This item: Steel hook 4¾ inches long. The strap end is 2¾ inches wide. Is this too big to be off of an aircrew harness? I am not familiar with harness fittings

Circular item looks like a fuel filler cap – have seen something very similar on Hurricane crash sites – if the cap wasnt so corroded it would have the capacity in gallons engraved into it. The hook looks pretty general purpose, perhaps from a cargo lashing strap? Finally the carbon rods – found loads of these when I used to go bottle digging – they are the electrodes from carbon arc electric lamps.

I have found a few bits of this on this particular airfield in the past. It is very light and has a core rather like a thick version of pencil lead. Two sizes found, Nine sixteenths of an inch wide and seven sixteenths of an inch. They are not old batteries nor are they carbon. Found near a former dispersal area
