Pass it on

It’s my old Mum’s birthday today. She’s 85,and I still respect a lot of the stuff I learnt as a child.Whether or not you’ve got kids, what’s the ONE piece of advice or philosophy you’d like them to know ?

Never raise your hands to your kids. It leaves your groin unprotected.

Life is too short to be taken seriously, or, Let’s get it right first time as it is not a dress rehearsal. I think I learned the latter too late to benefit from the knowledge, oh well that’s life.

Mr. Bee once had a Hillman Imp that really was as good as it looked. What can I pass on to my daughter that’s positive? She’s a bit more cynical since the boyfriend legged it .

Whilst only a young ‘un (honest) the best advice I’ve heard recently is:

“Very few people go to bed disappointed that they did exercise.”

Maybe so but they might just kill themselves with the strain:)
