Hi here are a few samples of what went on in “Heaven on a Stick” – Murray Griffith’s facility at Wangarratta – James and I will do a full report in due course but suffice to say it was FANTASTIC. JDK and I engaged in a most unsportsman like contest to see who could wash the warbirds windscreens the cleanest on the off chance of a flight – Well weren’t we in for a surprise – Wirraway and Wingeal flights then swap partners and do it all again – Steve did rather better !!!!!
A sincere thanks to the Fantastic Murray Griffiths and his loverly wife and all the crew at Wangarratta ( Including Forumite Mick Grinter) for looking after us – The report will have to be very extensive and will probably cover a lot of posts as we picked up a lot of exciting news etc

Robbo Et al Yes the CCD got very dusty in the NIKON so I will have to clean up a lot of these better for proper posting later but you at least get the idea

It’s a small world. 😀 These days I have to wear dark glasses to stay anonymous. 😉 Seriously though, I’ve been very lucky, but I’ve not got to do anything someone who is prepared to wash windscreens (etc) wouldn’t be able to do… I’d like to second Setter’s coments – many thanks to all those who’ve been so generous over the last week. Yes, there’s more to come.

Is that long shaft in the foreground the engine driveshaft ? To my uneducated eye, looks like one. The main wing section looks reasonable.

Hi Birthday boy!!
Yes we had the best of times – once in a lifetime place and Murray was just a fantastic guy – Unfortunately we had to wait till we got back to Melbourne to try a few wines out at JDKs favourite restraunt (Yes he is already a regular there!!!) and I can’t remember walking home either night – much like most nights on tour !!!
Here is the better photo of the P39 wreckage I meant to post last time – there are a few wrecks like this there. Only any use as patterns etc. Kurile Islands stuff mostly I think.
