Paul Morgan Corsair sold to the USA

It was reported in the local rag that the UK-based Morgan family Corsair G-CCMV has been sold to a new owner in Texas, USA.
It was flown into Southampton Airport and then moved by road early Friday (6th) morning to the Docks where it was put aboard a ship to start its journey home.

It was reportedly sold for 1.25 million USD.

RE: Paul Morgan Corsair sold to the USA

It is believed to be going to the Cavanaugh Flight Museum in Addison (Dallas) Texas. It was the Cavanaugh F4U-4 that was almost destroyed in the Oshkosh 1999 accident.

FG-1D G-CCMV has been assigned registration N451FG.

Prior to Paul Morgan’s purchase, it was registered N448AG when it belonged to the late David Jeansomme of Vintage Wings in Layfayette, Louisiana.
