PC Pilot March/April issue
FEATURES:
Flying the P-38 Lightning
In this edition of his ongoing series on flying combat aircraft in FSX, Adam Cotton recreates another exciting historical mission flying the Lockheed P-38 Lightning.
X-Plane 9 – Building an aircraft
In Part 4 of our series on X-Plane, Chuck Bodeen teaches us the basics on how to create a 3D panel and cockpit that will allow us to scan the instruments while in flight.
Flight Simulator – A Beginner’s Guide
In our previous two instalments, we looked at some different ways to enliven your flight simulation sessions by bringing other aircraft and even people to your party. This issue, Tony Radmilovich takes things yet a step further by inviting some more pilots and even a few air traffic controllers to the proceedings!
Jet Airliners – A Flight Sim Pilot’s Guide
In this issue of our Airliner series, Jane Whittaker focuses on the manual handling of the unique MD-11.
GA Flight Sim Training
Welcome to the final instalment in Stage 2 of our Back to Basics series! In this issue, Peter Stark shows us that even when we judiciously learn all the theory and practice the exercises and fly like a professional, we can still sometimes become ‘geographically embarrassed’. He then offers advice on how we can apply a series of simple steps to determine our position and regain track.
Professional Instruction with Bill Stack
In this issue’s tutorial flight, we fly from Kagoshima to Naha, Japan, in a Beechcraft King Air 350, over beautiful islands and a country rich in history and heritage. Good luck!
Rise of Flight – Flying the Sopwith Camel
Welcome to the second instalment of our series in which we offer hints and tips on flying the aircraft in ‘Rise of Flight’. In our previous edition, the developer, Neoqb, offered a broad insight into the design philosophy behind the simulated aircraft. Over the next few issues we will narrow our focus and look at individual aircraft. We start with the legendary Sopwith Camel.
Flight Sim Hints and Tips – Joysticks and Yokes
The perfect flight sim experience requires the perfect controller set-up. Peter Wright shows us how to achieve that goal.
Flight Sim Q&A
In this, our newest PC Pilot regular feature, we take a look at some of our readers’ flight sim-related questions as well as pose a few of our own – applying some answers that should hopefully solve your problems.

Would it be at all possible for you to give a target release date for the next issue of PC Pilot? I am already signed up for the email alert, but it would be nice to know in advance to help make sure I get to the store as soon after it is released as possible!
Thank you for your time.
