Pearl Harbour

Came across this photo which appears to show an aircraft in the vacinity of Pearl Harbour ;

When it come to tech stuff i am not an expert so wondered if someone can blow the photo up a bit and/or i/d the type ?

The photo comes from this collection;

http://beforeitsnews.com/story/292/771/Photos_stored_in_camera_for_68_years_-_Pearl_Harbour_Bombing.html

While the story of the “recently” discovered camera seems strange they make interesting viewing none the less.

From 3 different people I recently got one that shows a 3-carrier formation of USN supercarriers (legit) and then shows the fake planes from the movie “Stealth” and claims they are real and in service!

Thanks 😉 What you have to remember is that not all of us are familiar with the locations and what they looked like 60+ years ago,maybe naively i still think 90% of people are decent -ish so i take in good spirit information that is given.

Decentish mostly but still easily fooled, I got that hoax Brownie viral from a lot of people.

I guess it’s pretty easy to hoax credulous morons these days. Did nobody think to ask how the “sailor with a Brownie” could be so many places relatively simultaneously, some of them dozens of miles apart?

It’s an internet hoax from 2006…someone said they found a camera with undeveloped film and when processed had “never seen before” photos of the attack. In fact, all are US Navy photos, several of which have been published.

The photo above is included here:
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/pearl-harbor-photos.htm
and here:
http://www.snopes.com/photos/military/pearlharbor.asp

But the the photos themselves are real…so to answer the question…

If it’s a Japanese aircraft..it would be a Zeke or Kate…no fixed landing gear.

Of course it could be a P-40 or F4F (to name the two most likely US fighters..but it also could be a SNJ on a post attack photo mission) doing a patrol after the attack.
