Haven’t posted on here before but thought I would try some of my images from the approach into my local airport, PEN/WMKP. These were all taken on 11 Nov 08 with an EOS 400D and 90 – 300 USM lens.

Air Asia A320, carries special marks on the rear fuselage to mark the starting of the Singapore – Kuala Lumpur service.
Regular visitor to PEN, MAS B737-400.
Another now regular user of PEN, Firefly’s ATR72-212A.

Cargo operator TRI-M.G.’s B727-31(F)
Also in the circuit that day was HM Aerospace’s Diamond DA-42 Twin Star, out of Langkawi.

I was up at the airport again last Tuesday. Sat for an hour and a half just off the approach centreline and not a thing stirred!! Just as I was moving off along came two. Missed the first as I had to quickly stop the car and get out. The second was another Firefly ATR72.
Different camera/lens combo this time: 450D/Tamron 18 – 270mm VC lens.

Excellent shots! I’m coming to Penang and Langkawi for a coupe of days in Ocober..any hints on what to do/see in such a short time? We’re flying in on a Firefly ATR and out on a Singapore 777.
