Agent K – yeah, but I’ve never seen a photograph of the original scheme that’s based on.

Excellent work. Superb profiles! You must love the Piston Provost as much as I do. With a stash of old Matchbox and S&M Models Provosts, I’ve got lots of potential project ideas now.

Has anyone ever seen a photo of a pre-delivery (camouflaged) Omani Provost carrying RAF roundels? I remember Scale Aircraft Modelling doing a profile of one, but I’ve never seen a photo.

I have a couple of pictures yes. The ones of XF597 , ( G-BKFW ) have AH which is the initial of the former owner Alan House, itās orginal marking was JM. The other is WW388 which served with 2 FTS and was coded Q F .
Best wishes
James

Slightly tangential but it was nice to see an Omani Percival Provost on a visit to Muscat, Oman and the armed forces museum a few weeks back.

CATCS Shawbury
ok, thank to the help i have recieved from here and Prune, here is the first CATCS aircraft, XF554 coded Z in 8″ striped dayglo bands.
By: sagindragin - 23rd July 2018 at 02:59
you might want to change the colour of the stripes, they should be 8″ Dayglo, it is a orange not red, but apart from that its looking good
