Peter Graves was found dead in his home at Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles today.
The 83-year-old, who starred in the TV version of Mission Impossible from 1966 to 1973, plus movies ranging from 1953’s Stalag 17 to Men In Black II in 2002 – apparently died of natural causes, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing police sources

I think Peter Graves had a heart attack, didn’t he?
Still, what a great life and fun memories for so many. I watched Mission Impossible as a small boy in New Zealand.

I watched Airplane! again very recently.
Quite sad, but he’s had a career spanning 60 years. That’s not a bad innings in anyone’s book.

I recall many of his roles very well, but it’s still Airplane which I think of first, when I remember him. He might have mixed feelings about that or he might be delighted.
